Extension Privacy Policy
Uzantı Gizlilik Politikası

The ACUMEN Chrome extension helps users capture and transform educational content — such as video transcripts and webpage text — into study materials within the ACUMEN platform. The extension operates as a bridge between the browser and your ACUMEN account.

The extension only processes content that is explicitly triggered by the user:

• Visible webpage content (text, transcripts, video metadata) — only when the user activates a capture feature
• ACUMEN account session — to authenticate requests to acumen.tr and save content to your account

No content is collected passively. The extension does not run in the background on pages you haven't interacted with.

• Name, email address, or any personal identifier independently (these are handled by your ACUMEN account)
• Browsing history or visited URLs
• Location data
• Financial or payment information
• Passwords or authentication credentials
• Data from pages you have not interacted with

When you use a capture or processing feature, the captured content is sent to acumen.tr for processing and saved to your ACUMEN account. This is subject to the ACUMEN Privacy Policy.

Content is only transmitted when you explicitly trigger a feature (e.g., clicking "Create quiz from this page"). Nothing is sent automatically.

The extension requests only the permissions needed for its core functionality:

• activeTab — to read content from the currently active tab when triggered by the user
• storage — to store local preferences and session state
• scripting — to inject capture functionality into the active page when triggered

No broad host permissions are requested. The extension cannot read all websites silently.

The extension does not share data with any third party independently. All data flows through the ACUMEN platform (see Privacy Policy).

This policy will be updated if the extension's functionality or data practices change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

ACUMEN Chrome uzantısı; video transkriptleri ve web sayfası içeriklerini ACUMEN platformundaki çalışma materyallerine dönüştürmeye yardımcı olur. Uzantı, tarayıcı ile ACUMEN hesabınız arasında köprü işlevi görür.

İşlenen içerikler: Kullanıcının bir özelliği etkinleştirdiğinde, aktif sayfadaki görünür içerik (metin, transkript, video bilgisi) işlenir. Pasif olarak hiçbir içerik toplanmaz.

ACUMEN platformuna gönderilen veriler: Yakalama veya işleme özelliğini kullandığınızda, ilgili içerik acumen.tr'ye gönderilir ve ACUMEN hesabınıza kaydedilir. Bu işlem Gizlilik Politikası kapsamındadır.

Paylaşım: Uzantı, verileri bağımsız olarak herhangi bir üçüncü tarafla paylaşmaz. Tüm veri akışı ACUMEN platformu üzerinden gerçekleşir.
